There are several types of public communication of news in South Korea like TV, cinema, radio, magazines, newspapers and social web sites. However, the most popular one is newspapers.

Modern Korean newspapers started in the late 19 century, but is was mostly control and outright censorship in posts. Today journalists establishs the freedom in writing, commenting and posting, so Korean people refers to research information on newspapers.

And this is a list of the most popular newspapers in South Korea: 

Korea Times (코리아타임스)
Korea Times was invested in the year 1950, and this is the oldest English-language newspaper in South Korea. The newspaper firstly published by the Korea Times Co.

Joongang Ilbo ( 중앙일보)
Joongang IIbo is one of the most popular newspaper published in Seoul, South Korea. JoongAng Media Network is the owner of this newspaper.

Seoul Times
This is a popular Korean online newspaper in English language.

Hankyoreh (한겨레)
Korean language daily broadsheet newspaper based in Seoul, South Korea.

Munhwa Ilbo (문화일보)
Munhwa IIbo was established in the year 1990 based in South Korea's daily newspaper.
